The West Palm Beach Child Custody Attorneys at Robin Roshkind, P.A., share your concern for the well-being of your children. We understand a divorce impacts your children as well as you. That is why we recommend a collaborative approach to child custody and child time sharing schedules.
Too often children are pawns in a divorce; this can have an emotional impact on your children that can last a lifetime. In addition, no one knows and understands your children like you do. We advocate having the parties who understand the needs of your children make the decisions regarding custody and child time sharing--you and your spouse.

We realize that some situations may force you to seek sole custody or request supervised child time sharing. We have experience working with parties to execute an agreement also known as a parenting plan or shared parental responsibility that will be in the best interest of your children. Additionally, we are always prepared to advocate your position in court, at a trial, when necessary.
We assist with issues involving legal custody, joint custody or breach of shared paternal responsibility (the ability to make decisions on behalf of your child or children) as well as physical custody (where your child or children will physically reside). We also request child custody modifications and contempt for nonpayment of child support on behalf of our clients.
In addition to our child custody and divorce services, we also are prepared to handle the following:
Grandparent Rights
Normally grandparents have no rights to their grandchildren other than through their own children. In other words, if a grandparent wishes to see a grandchild, the grandparent must have the permission of one of both parents. There are exceptions to this law in special circumstances where one or both parents are unfit, dead, in jail, in rehab or otherwise not able to serve the best interests of their children. Then, and only then, can grandparents file in the Florida courts for either a guardianship over their grandchild and property, or temporary custody, court ordered. If the court finds that the parents cannot serve the children, then temporary arrangements will be court-ordered allowing the grandparents full rights to serve and protect the children. This includes decision making for education, health and other major ramifications, including support and perhaps even Social Security benefits.
